Be like Mike!

Mike Miller won the 3rd and final qualifier for The Summer Series held at The Myriad. This means that he will be the top seed in the playoffs, slated to take place on Thursday, June 15th at the aforementioned venue. We welcomed a newcomer to the competitive scene, Cory, who did great in his first tournament!

The second qualifier went to Mike Miller who tallied up 32 out of 35 points. The Myriad now has 9 machines maintained by Greg Creech, and has quickly become a great place for pinball in SF.

Allison wins the first 2017 Summer Series qualifier in style!

The first qualifier of the 2017 Summer Series took place last night at The Myriad on 2175 Market Street. 23 players showed up and played 5 rounds of match play in groups of 4. After the 5th round was over, Allison had amassed 33 out of 35 possible points and took the win! We also raffled out cookies, sushi, beer, and craft drinks from the many food and drink establishments at The Myriad. Next qualifier will be played on June 6th.

2017 Spring Playoffs

Top 4 finishers of season 9. Josh 4th, Brian 3rd, Andrei 1st, Beer dude* 2nd. *AKA Aaron


This season’s playoff format was a hit both with the players and the organizer! The first phase was match play in groups of 4 (5 games), followed by head to head single elimination (best 2/3). 16 participants in A and B, while C-division played a 3 strikes knockout tournament with 18 players. For what may have been the first time in pinball history, we finished ahead of schedule!

Thanks to all the players, officials, game testers, AV Clubbers, and random pin heads who made this a super fun day! Congrats to all the plaque winners and special congrats to Andrei who defended his title as Grand Champion of the SFPD.

Round 10

The regular season finale was attended by 67 members and there was a shift at the top of the standings. Josh, who had been in the lead for a long time had to yield to Andrei, who bested him by a total of 2 points!

Playoffs are on Saturday, May 13th. Players need to check in by 11:45 AM and play will start at 12-Noon. Doors open at 11 AM.

Round 9

67 players, including 7 guests graced FGW this time around. Josh maintains his lead in the standings! See you for round 10 (members only) on May 10th.

Round 8

61 players, including 4 guests showed up for round 8. Josh is continuing his onslaught at the top of the standings. 2 rounds to go!

Round 7

60 members and 3 guests came to play in this round. Flor and Richard came by with their newborn too! A handful of members were away in Pittsburgh competing in PAPA 20, and we wish them the best of luck!
